The War on Dust: Electrostatics and Laminar Airflow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The core problem with plastic surfaces is their insulating nature, which turns them into magnets for dust through electrostatic charge. In this scenario, cleaning the part is only half the job \u2014 the other half rests with the booth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A spray environment with constant pressure and genuinely laminar airflow is the only real defence. USI Italia systems are engineered to “wash” the air uniformly from top to bottom, pushing every impurity towards the extraction filters and preventing air vortices from holding particles in suspension close to the part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Correct paint thickness management depends primarily on the painter’s skill \u2014 applying the product according to OEM-specified parameters and paint viscosity, and verifying the result with measurement tools such as a digital micrometer.
